Binaya Singh, Director of Sustainability Solutions / Integrator

Binaya Singh is a highly motivated leader with more than 20 years of experience in international development program management, technical support, strategic initiatives, planning, and new business. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated success at building and maintaining open communication and collaboration between and among team members, clients, and leadership. He is experienced in program life-cycle management and operations coordination with a strong focus on delivery.

At GPTech, Binaya leads Sustainability Solutions, including Practice Areas and project quality/delivery. In this position, Binaya’s talents and skills are a valuable addition to the collective team that is contributing all its efforts toward energizing and engineering a sustainable future for our clients, company, and the world. Binaya’s position includes a range of responsibilities to lead solutions focused on sustainable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and sustainable development. 

Prior to joining GPTech, Binaya worked at Sheladia Associates as the Vice President of Climate, Energy & Economic Growth, Agriculture and Natural Resources. As a Vice President for the International Division, Binaya was responsible for providing vision, leadership, staffing, and management for the division; developing and managing annual business strategy and budget for quality results and growth; creating a diverse workforce; and ensuring an inclusive and equitable work environment at the divisional level that motivates staff and promotes teamwork while contributing to the successful operation, management, and industry reputation of the company as a whole.

Binaya has proven versatility in coordinating with high-level global stakeholders and civil societies, including the U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S Departments of Agriculture and Defense, Millennium Challenge Corporation, World Bank, African Development Bank, local and host country government contracts, and numerous private organizations.

Binaya holds a Master of Science degree in Agribusiness from Illinois State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Rajasthan Agriculture University in India. In addition, Binaya is a credentialed Project Management Professional.

In his free time, Binaya enjoys playing cricket and badminton, hiking, and spending time with his family.
