Project Description:
GPTech provides communications and technical editing support to the NRC’s Publications Branch. The Publications Branch manages reproduction, Government Publishing Office print procurement, graphic design, paper- and web-based publications, Nuclear Regulation (NUREG) manuscript review and publication, and technical editing and writing. NUREGs are official agency reports or brochures on regulatory decisions, results of research, results of incident investigations, and other technical and administrative information. The Publications Branch offices relies on GPTech for technical editing services when responding to stakeholders, communicating with the public, providing guidance to licensees, documenting communications with licensees, and publishing NUREGS and other NRC regulations.
Goals & Achievements:
The technical editing program edits approximately 800 to 900 documents, or 25,000 to 30,000 pages of text each year. As of March 2023, GPTech had edited more than 97,500 pages.
