Project Description:

GPTech provided energy engineering technical assistance and expertise to USTDA in support of its mission in the energy sector in the following five key areas:

  1. General expertise;

  2. Development and design of program activities;

  3. Technical inputs to the drafting and revising of technical documents such as terms of reference and budgets;

  4. Technical advice during the course of USTDA’s monitoring and oversight activities; and

  5. Technical advice on new or emerging technologies and market trends in emerging markets.

GPTech provided support for projects across the energy sector, including solar, energy storage, microgrids, smart grids, biomass, geothermal, hydro, wind, nuclear, oil and gas, and transmission and distribution in countries in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa, and Eastern Europe. GPTech also provided technical expertise on cross-sector engineering topics, such as environmental engineering; emissions mitigation or reduction; and climate change adaptation, mitigation, and resiliency.

Goals & Achievements: 

GPTech supported nearly 100 projects in 37 countries throughout the term of this contract.
