GPTech Awarded MCC Cabo Verde II PPP Project
The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has awarded GPTech the first Call Order under the BPA for “Public-Private Partnerships, Other Partnered Approaches, and Access to Finance.” Under this project, GPTech will evaluate the feasibility and options for delivering land registry and cadastral services for Cabo Verde via Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) or other form of private sector participation (PSP). This project will include conducting a PPP options analysis; assessing the notional viability and sustainability of potential project structures and risks for delivery through a PPP or PSP; and assessing the notional viability of the roadmap of activities needed for project development and implementation. The focus at this pre-feasibility stage is on establishing whether there is a potential business case for a successful PPP, including notional value for money, affordability, and bankability. GPTech will implement this contract with its partner, Planet Partnerships.
GPTech’s President and CEO, Phillip Green, stated, “We are very pleased to be able to contribute to MCC’s private sector engagement objectives and in particular to support this important project in Cabo Verde. Green Powered Technology continues to expand our sustainable development services in Sub-Saharan Africa, where our partnerships approach is fundamental to improving access to energy, technology, knowledge, and innovation. We are proud to be able to support the work of the MCC under this new award.”
