Project Description:

GPTech was awarded a subcontract from prime contractor Tetra Tech to support the District of Columbia’s Department of Energy and Environment Solar for All Program. The Solar for All Program seeks to deliver benefits to 100,000 low-income households by deploying a wide range of solar electric systems in the District, targeting a 50% reduction in household utility bills by 2032. Over the course of the contract period, the Tetra Tech/GPTech team conducted quality assurance/control (QA/QC) assessments for solar power systems installed by 15 grantees on numerous single- and multi-family homes, as well as on small community and commercial facilities. This work included validating benefits received by low-income households. The team also assessed and validated the benefits of solar systems installed by D.C. government partner agencies, including a public library, a university, and government offices.

Goals & Achievements: 

GPTech provided QA/QC and performance verification support services on 80 solar electric installations on facilities including single- and multi-family homes, community facilities, and commercial office space.
