Project Description:

GPTech provided architect and engineering (A&E) design, studies, quality assurance/control (QA/QC), and oversight services to support the USAID Ukraine and Moldova offices. The goal was to ensure the compliance of ongoing infrastructure activities with USAID requirements, health and safety standards, quality standards, and best engineering practices. GPTech provided multi-discipline engineering and construction management services in support of infrastructure construction activities in Ukraine and Moldova for a variety of facilities. These A&E services involved research, planning, development, design, preparation of bid documents, studies, construction, alteration, repair, procurement, construction management, capacity and institutional building, and any other services related to infrastructure development, and QA/QC.

Goals & Achievements: 

Goals:

  1. Provide QA/QC services during all construction phases for works implemented under USAID awards.

  2. Provide the full range of professional A&E services associated with design, surveys, research, capacity-building, planning, development, design, construction oversight, construction management, alteration, and repair of real property.

  3. Foster well-planned, cost-effective, safe, sustainable, and quality construction to generate the intended development results.

Achievements:

  1. The A&E Services Activity completed 33 QA/QC and design reviews, 13 construction site visits, and 37 other site visits in Year 1.

  2. The A&E Services Activity completed more than 50 various reviews and more than 20 site visits in Year 2.
