GPTech Awarded USAID Power Africa IDIQ

GPTech is very pleased to announce that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded our firm the 5-year, USAID Power Africa Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, which has a $900 million ceiling. This IDIQ was awarded to four large and five small business firms, where GPTech represents one of the small business prime contractors.  Programs under the Power Africa IDIQ will continue to support economic growth and development by increasing access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable power in Africa.

We look forward to working with our IDIQ partners and with USAID over the next five years to implement innovative and impactful programs under Power Africa.”

Launched in 2013, Power Africa works with African governments and private sector partners to remove barriers that impede sustainable energy development in sub-Saharan Africa and unlock the substantial wind, solar, hydropower, natural gas, biomass, and geothermal resources on the continent. A unique private sector-led model, Power Africa draws on the combined expertise and abilities of more than 150 partners, including 12 U.S. Government agencies, the World Bank Group, the African Development Bank, United Nations’ Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) initiative, the Governments of Sweden, Norway, Canada, Japan, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, African governments, and private sector partners.
