Awarded MCC BPA to Support MIIA-Africa

MCC Gambia

GPTech is pleased to share that we have been awarded the contract to support the Millennium Impact Infrastructure Accelerator in Africa (MIIA-Africa), an investment mobilization mechanism focused on building a pipeline for transport, energy, ICT, water, sanitation, housing, education, and health infrastructure projects and developing bankable infrastructure deals with measurable social and economic impacts. Projects must show a commitment to climate resilience and gender awareness. MIIA-Africa is designed to catalyze project development to fill the more than USD 100billion+ annual infrastructure investment gap in Africa as estimated by Mckinsey, AfDB, and others. GPTech will support the selection and sourcing of projects to develop the initial pipeline and screen projects for the pre-feasibility stage. GPTech will conduct the pre-feasibility assessments of the shortlisted projects to provide recommendations about which projects MCC should pursue.

“We are very pleased to be able to contribute to MCC’s objective to resolve barriers to investment. GPTech continues to expand our sustainable development services in Africa, where our partnerships approach is fundamental to improving access to modern transport, energy, technology, knowledge, and innovation. This project allows us to help MCC unleash growth potential across Africa through active engagement and collaboration with the private sector,” said Phillip Green, President and founder of GPTech.
